Cristian Ferrandino, President of Symmetry, brings nearly two decades of experience delivering high-impact consulting services to mortgage servicers nationwide. He holds a Master of Science in Analytics from Texas A&M University and has a proven record of designing and implementing data-driven solutions since 2007.
Cristian's deep domain expertise, combined with advanced skills in data analytics, automation, and mortgage finance systems, positions Symmetry as a trusted partner for servicers navigating today’s regulatory and investor demands.
Cristian has a ton of experience in Investor Accounting with knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA and private investor regulations. He is especially talented in reconciling investor custodial account reconciliations. He is very adept at manipulating huge amounts of data for large research projects.
I have had the pleasure of working with Cristian on several occasions, initially as a permanent employee of mine and later when he was performing some deep-dive, consultant work for another firm. In both capacities I will say that he was successful in his endeavors and always conducted himself in a very thorough and professional manner.
I have had the pleasure of working with Cristian on several occasions, initially as a permanent employee of mine and later when he was performing some deep-dive, consultant work for another firm. In both capacities I will say that he was successful in his endeavors and always conducted himself in a very thorough and professional manner. He has a deep knowledge of mortgage cash flow and the servicing activities associated with them. He also has the ability to break transactions down to a granular level in order to reconcile difficult situations. His technical skills are also very good.
I worked with Cristian on multiple bank reconciliation projects and find his work with mortgage banking P&I, T&I, and Clearing accounts to be exceptional and of high quality. His detailed reconciliations have passed internal and external audits. In other projects, he was a exceptional team player and his knowledge, experience, and skills

His work ethic, communication skills, sequel/technical skills, and people skills goes above and beyond expectations. He works well within a team environment and is an dedicated leader. I enjoyed working with him.
Mortgage servicers collect payments (e.g., principal, interest, taxes, insurance) from borrowers and deposit those funds into custodial accounts held at third-party banks, often referred to as custodial banks. These funds are then disbursed to the appropriate parties—investors, taxing authorities, insurance companies, etc.
It refers to the process of ensuring that a mortgage servicer’s records for loans sold to or serviced on behalf of Fannie Mae (FNMA) accurately match Fannie Mae’s own records. It’s a critical part of mortgage servicing operations, investor reporting, and compliance.
In financial services (especially mortgage servicing, banking, and investor reporting), a cashbook serves as the authoritative record of actual cash activity occurring in bank accounts (often custodial accounts), allowing teams to tie that activity to loan-level transactions, journal entries, and remittances.
